The Health and Development Foundation took part in the 21st Century Healthy Generation conference in Barnaul

At the invitation of the Altai Region education and youth affairs department, specialists from the Health and Development Foundation held a master class for conference participants on the foundation’s program “Everything that concerns you.” The VIII 21st Century Healthy Generation conference was held on November 23 in Barnaul, and was organized by the Altai Region department on education and youth affairs and the Altai Region Institute of Continuing Pedagogical Education.

During plenary and section meetings, as well as during the master class, conference participants discussed such topics as the formation of a healthy lifestyle, designing pedagogical systems that create healthy students, and introducing innovative pedagogical technologies.

The foundation’s specialists held three master classes for groups of 30 participants. Group leaders had everyone participate in the course’s Dish activity, in which participants create a list of “ingredients” for different concepts such as health, success, love, etc. This then led to a discussion of teenagers’ attitudes towards their own health and healthy lifestyles, and further to a discussion of the concept of the program. When presenting the program, our specialists emphasized its main principles, and what differentiates it from other, similar programs – the relevance of its topics for teenagers, its presentation of alternatives instead of just condemning risky behaviors, etc.

The highlight of the conference was the granting of an award to the “New School – School of Health,” which won a regional contest by showing significant achievements in its efforts to maintain, strengthen, and build the health and healthy lifestyles of the growing generation.

O.A. Pleshkova, the head of the youth and continuing education department of the Altai Region, also officially presented a letter of appreciation addressed to E.V. Dimtrieva, the director of the Health and Development Foundation, for the foundation’s “contribution to improving the preventive measures taken by the Altai Region educational system.”
